    CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
    REPORTS TO: Human Resources Manager

    Objective:
    Under the direct supervision of the Human Resources Manager, provides administrative and clerical assistance on all personnel matters and payroll processing to the Human Resources Manager, Library Director and Board of Trustees.

    Duties:
    1. Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
    2. Prepare, process and distribute payroll. Maintains integrity and accuracy of payroll system.
    3. Performs payroll reconciliations to Business department.
    4. Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database as needed.
    5. Maintenance of employee files.
    6. Creates new hire packets for orientation.
    7. Updated phone list/company directory and organization chart.
    8. Assists with the preparation of the performance review forms.
    9. Prepares monthly board packets, including copying and distribution.
    10. Posts agendas, public hearings, ordinances, levies, and other legal notices as directed.
    11. Records Board meeting minutes and distributes approved minutes.
    12. Purchases and maintains the inventory of all building and office supplies for the District.
    13. Handles routine building maintenance calls in the absence of the facilities manager, and notifies appropriate staff.
    14. Makes photocopies, faxes documents and performs other clerical functions.
    15. Assists or prepares correspondence.
    16. Performs other duties as assigned, which may include confidential and non-routine information.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    Experience: Requires prior knowledge of principles and practices of human resources. Prior experience with an HRIS database preferred. Minimum of one year experience in payroll. Requires effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.
    Education: Requires knowledge typically acquired through completion of high school or equivalent.

    Physical Requirements: The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the functions of this job.
    Physical requirements include: good speaking, hearing and vision ability, excellent manual dexterity, ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds occasionally.

    Working Conditions:
    Work is performed in a typical office environment. Full-time position. May require some weekend and evening work.
